Philip Gleckman

Dr. Gleckman is an experimental physicist and technical manager with 20 years of experience in a range of electro-optical industries. Most recently, he served as Vice President of R&D at Energy Innovations where he led research and design efforts in concentrated solar photovoltaic technologies. His main commercial experience has been in the advanced development of information displays, including electronic projectors for television (Philips) and business presentation (In Focus), and head-mounted displays. He architected the first "ultraportable" DLP projector which earned PC Magazine's 1998 Award for "Best Portable Projector." Dr. Gleckman was a doctoral student at the University of Chicago, in the laboratory of solar pioneer Prof. Roland Winston. He holds over twenty patents in electro-optical systems, and has authored several publications in solar energy and optics. Dr. Gleckman was recently appointed as a visiting scientist at Caltech working on solar fuels in collaboration with eSolar.
